Meu lugar é na pista!

While preparing Chapter 4, I read more about this posición fronteriza (Anzaldúa, 1987) that I occupy and drew on multiple South/North American and European authors who were part of academia but did not fully belong. This feeling could be translated as being invited to a party but never finding a seat. Someone allowed you to enter, but did not prepare a room for you. You cannot rest your feet, calmly talk with others, enjoy your drink… in this environment, your primary concern is not to have fun; it is to find your place. While writing this chapter, I finally understand that my place is probably on the dance floor. I am beginning to see this lack of rest as a potential source of growth. Maybe dancing, I can find some interesting people.
